In the 1980's, David Yurman reached an untapped market in fine jewelry design; making luxurious pieces that people could wear everyday at an affordable price. Like his craftsman father, David Yurman began his life in the arts as a sculptor. While working for the same artist, he met his wife Sybil, who inspired him to continue his jewelry designs, after making a metal belt for her.
